Welcome to the episodic comedy BARRELS!

 

The Slocum family began making bourbon at their small distillery outside Lexington, Kentucky at the end of the nineteenth century.  Prohibition came and derailed their bourbon making dream.  Eventually, prohibition was repealed and the third generation, seven times over widower, Sue Ellen Slocum has restarted the business with her closest relatives.

 

The show takes place at Bunny's Halo Distillery.  There is a lot of funny business going on in this dead pan satirical comedy about bourbon manufacturing.

 

Here are some of the featured characters.

 

RANDY is the master distiller, knows about good bourbon and how to make it.

 

SUE ELLEN absentmindedly floats around the distillery as head greeter and deviously plans to smite all her enemies and take over the world.

 

Barrel manager EUGENE accidentally manufactures the perfect barrel of bourbon, has a vivid imagination, and is an avid Kentucky basketball fan.

 

DARLENE is a former chain restaurant manager who craves confrontation and looks after the business end of things.

 

DAINTY, the head engineer, is friendly but doesn’t say much, preferring to communicate with an old fashioned miner’s light attached to his hard hat.

 

We will meet LAUREL, a recent college grad, Randy’s nephew ETHAN from the big city, semi-pro badminton player and tour guide TIMMY, head bottler ZELDA, NIKKI from accounting, BILL the security guard, and many others in this family friendly workplace comedy.
